In order to implement the most efficient and cost-effective solution, we start off by getting to know each other. We host various meetings and workshops to learn from you (the customer) about your current and future process, the existing tools and solutions used, the needs and the challenges of the end-users, the needs and wishes of the management team, as well as the technical environment such as interfaces, dependencies, restrictions and limitations.

Having gathered all the information and understood the requirements, DARIGO creates a proposal of how the solution could look like, what would be the mode of operation and what would be the cost of development and maintenance of such a solution. Together we would then discuss in detail the proposal and agree in case any changes are needed and the cost impact that it will have.

We know that we live in very dynamic times with changes happening so often, it may be necessary to change the plan of the solution also during the development phase. We would then agree on the changes needed and the impacts this will have.

Cost

As we do not believe in "one-size-fits-all solutions" and each customer has different needs and budget resources, DARIGO designs and creates customized solution with varying pricing models. We speak openly and freely with our customer about the investment cost needed to initially set up the solution and the cost of maintenance and support to keep the solution running.

Important to remember is that depending on the business sector, processes may and do change over time which means that the solution also needs to be kept up-to-date. In many cases this means additional changes and new feature development is needed which incurs additional cost.

Development

Once an agreement has been reached as to the technical and financial aspects of the solution DARIGO will start with the development. All development is done in a developer environment and can be monitored by the customer at any time. We allow and encourage this opportunity to see already in the development lifecycle how the solution is progressing and in case needed to interrupt the development to make changes.

Development usually happens in sprints (Modules) where we start with the basic functionality needed and once ready, we move into production so that the users can start using already the first parts of the final solution. We then develop the next module or feature that was agreed and when ready more to the production environment. We continue with this approach until the full solution is completed and in the production environment where the users can utilize all the features.

Modular Approach

Often, DARIGO customers prefer a modular approach to solution development. Addressing one key function or team at a time and building the solution one module at a time per key function or team. Adding modules on top of the existing ones and reusing the existing data in a centralised way, allowing the solution to grow over time.

One of the biggest advantages of a SaaS solution and most important component of any solution is to have consistent and up-to-date data that is available to everyone, everywhere and all the time. The heart of all DARIGO solutions is a centralized database system that is complimented by web-based applications accessible by authorized users from any connected device anytime.

Data & User Control

Especially important for larger scale solutions is to be able to control who can use what data and how. DARIGO offers full user and group administration to be able to create users and assign permissions based on the user and/or group needs. Permissions can be applied on Group and User levels as well as on module and functionality levels if needed. This needs to be considered when designing the solution initially to ensure the correct level of permissions can be applied.

Data Sources

A solution is only as efficient as the quality of the data that is provided. It is therefore important to ensure "good" data is fed into the solution. Data can be captured and stored in the DARIGO database in various ways, namely:

Automatic import functions of Import files (xls, txt, xml, csv, json, etc.)

APIs to other tools (direct connection to 3rd party systems)

Manual recording of data directly by the user in the Web interface

Automatic data generation based on certain events or conditions

The most common approach is to start small and grow your solution with time, whereby adding more and more functionality as well as maintaining the existing ones. This gives the customer the highest level of flexibility as well as cost control.

This is ideal for single user or a very small team/project which needs to maintain a easily accessible centralized data repository to read and write data anytime.

It is therefore necessary to always have the latest available information, but also that everyone in the team has that same information available at the same time. That is why a centralized and efficient information system is necessary to ensure everyone gets the same information.
Information can be presented by DARIGO in various Reporting mediums such as normal reports, charts, raw data as well as direct SQL queries.

One of the most popular features that DARIGO offers is a mirror of the customer SQL database online whereby the customer can connect directly with his own SQL tools and run his own queries and extract data.
